The Remarkable Success of the International Webinar: “How to Start and Develop a Law Moot Society: First Steps, Good Practices, and International Perspectives”

The School of International Governance and Law of Danubius International University proudly announces the outstanding success of the international webinar “How to Start and Develop a Law Moot Society: First Steps, Good Practices, and International Perspectives”, held on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, in the Senate Hall and online.
Organised under the guidance of the Dean, Assoc. Prof. Cristina Elena Popa Tache, the event enjoyed an impressive turnout, bringing together students, academic staff, legal practitioners, and international guests, confirming the growing interest in advanced training in argumentation techniques and moot court competitions.
The University’s Rector & CEO, dr. Steve O. Michael, and the President of the Board, dr. Andy Pușcă, delivered key interventions.

The webinar brought together distinguished experts from King’s College London:

  • Dr Darren Harvey, Senior Lecturer in Law & Director of Undergraduate Studies
  • Ms Nina Hart, Visiting Lecturer

alongside a special contribution from three renowned participants in prestigious international competitions:

  • Joseph Day(European Law Moot Court)
  • Mireia Montané(European Law Moot Court)
  • Joe Pearn(HSF Competition Law Moot)

Through their dynamic presentations and direct competition experience, the speakers offered participants practical recommendations on organising, developing, and internationalising a Law Moot Society — from the initial institutional stages to good practices and exemplary European models of excellence.

The event marks the official launch of the Moot Society of the School of International Governance and Law, a strategic project of Danubius International University aimed at strengthening legal education through:

  • moot court simulations and competitions,
  • international participation,
  • advanced academic collaborations,
  • the development of advocacy, legal drafting, and critical analysis skills.
