International Law and Human Dignity: Dean’s Presentation at the "Advancing Human Dignity 2025" Conference

The School of International Governance and Law of Danubius International University announces the participation of the Dean of the Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Cristina Elena Popa Tache, in the international conference “Advancing Human Dignity 2025 – International and EU Legal Pathways to Justice, Inclusion and Non-Discrimination,” held on 21 November 2025 under the auspices of the University of Salerno (Italy).

Within the section “Advancing Human Dignity under International Law,” moderated by Assoc. Prof. Anna Oriolo (University of Salerno), the Dean delivered the presentation entitled:
“An International Law Approach to Climate Justice: Human Dignity and the Rights of Future Generations.”

The intervention addressed the connections between climate justice, international law, and the protection of human dignity, with a particular emphasis on responsibility towards future generations. The Dean’s recently published book with Palgrave Macmillan, A Transdisciplinary Legal Methodology Guide and Lexicon for Crisis Response, was also presented once again as an example of a scientific instrument useful for analysing the most recent legal phenomena.

Furthermore, the conference marked the inauguration of the third edition of the Jean Monnet EU-GLOBACT course, a European programme dedicated to advanced academic dialogue on inclusion, human dignity, and non-discrimination.
