In a hall filled with emotion and pride during the 2025 graduation ceremony, a former student of Danubius International University captivated the entire audience with a special gift—a song composed from the depths of her soul. Adina Stanciu, a graduate of the Class of 2023, chose to express her gratitude toward the institution that shaped her professional and personal journey through a musical performance that transformed the formal event into a true celebration of art and learning.

The Path to Fulfillment: A Heartfelt Choice

Adina Stanciu chose to pursue her studies at the Faculty of Psychology at Danubius International University driven by a deep yearning for understanding—not only of herself, but also of those around her. "It was a decision born out of a profound need to understand suffering and to find healing answers to life’s painful questions," she reflects, recounting a life journey marked by challenges and the courage to transform hardship into opportunities for growth.

For Adina, psychology is more than an academic discipline; it is a pathway to self-discovery, a means to better understand not only her own emotions but also those of others. During her time at the university, she came to realize the importance of emotional awareness and regulation, as well as the understanding of trauma and its powerful influence on personal development and human relationships. These fundamental lessons became the cornerstone of her vision of psychology and its potential role in the lives of those facing difficulties.

Art as a Form of Healing

Beyond her passion for psychology, Adina also cultivated a deep connection with the arts. With over 20 years of experience in music and formal artistic training, she became not only a student but also an educator, sharing her love for the arts with others. She initiated vocal lessons for children, where she successfully intertwined art and soul, fostering empathy, harmony, and the courage to be authentic. “In this work, alongside my young artists, I found a space where music and psychology meet in a harmonious dance,” Adina explains, highlighting the crucial professional support she received from Professor Susanu Neaga—a mentor who guided her during pivotal moments of her development.

Danubius International University had a profound impact on Adina's professional and personal evolution. “This institution has been more than a place of learning for me; it has been a space of growth, inspiration, and belonging,” she confides. As a token of appreciation for the support she received, Adina composed a song that conveys her deep gratitude to the university and its academic community. The Department for Teacher Training (DPPD) organized the fourth edition of the International Conference "Education in the Digital Era." The event was held in a hybrid format and brought together academics, researchers, and education specialists from Italy, the Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Albania, and Ukraine, alongside partner institutions from Romania, including the Galați County School Inspectorate, the County Center for Educational Resources and Assistance, and the “Education Is Power” Association. This international academic platform facilitated valuable opportunities for the exchange of best practices and research findings related to emerging pedagogical approaches in the context of digital transformations in education systems.

The main objective of the conference was to promote innovative strategies in teaching, learning, and assessment, tailored to the current challenges brought by digitalization. Through scientific sessions and interactive workshops, participants explored viable solutions for the integration of technology into education, thus supporting the development of digital competencies among teachers and students. All accepted papers will be published in the journal Didactica Danubiensis (ISSN 2821-4374), which is indexed in the international EBSCO – BDI database, ensuring global visibility of the scientific contributions.
