Data Protection in the Era of Emerging Technologies – Academic Debate at Danubius International University

The Month of New Technologies debuted at Danubius International University with a substantive academic event that brought together approximately 60 participants – students, faculty members, researchers, and practitioners interested in the dynamics of contemporary digital transformations.

The academic lecture entitled “Personal Data Protection Today”, delivered by Dr. Luisa Dumitru, Head of the External Relations Service within the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing, provided us with a rigorous analysis of the application of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) in the context of new technologies and current developments. The event was moderated by Associate Professor Dr. Cristina Elena Popa Tache, Dean of the Faculty of Law and International Governance.

We extend our special thanks to our guest for her intellectual generosity, openness to dialogue, and the high level of her contributions, which decisively enhanced the quality of the debate.
