The School of Economic Sciences and Business Administration was authorized to operate by the Romanian Government Decision no. 294 of June 16, 1997, being accredited by G.D. no. 1609/2004. A Faculty of Economic Sciences within the "Danubius" University of Galati was imposed by the need to train specialists in economics, to determine pragmatically and ideologically the economic and social life, through professionalism and competence, to harness the local potential for economic development and adaptation to the increased demands of the real market and graduates of universities in the region.
We fully ensure the necessary conditions, by capitalizing on the experience of university education in the country and abroad, adapting the curriculum and analytical programs to the requirements imposed by membership in the community space, for graduates of faculty and master's courses to acquire and deepen solid theoretical and practical knowledge in specific fields: finance, business administration; accounting and management information systems; cybernetics, statistics and economic informatics.
In this sense, the School of Economic Sciences and Business Administration is concerned with providing future economists with a broad profile in terms of their training, required by present and future economic realities, thus responding to a desideratum, regarding the mobility of specialists and jobs.
Under the guidance of teachers, students and master students participate in scientific events organized annually within the University, but also in other university centers. Many of the winning papers have been published in specialized journals: Acta Universitatis Danubius. Œconomica, EuroEconomica or in the conference proceedings.
