The sports base of the Danubius International University composed of multifunctional fields for volleyball, basketball, tennis and mini-football, made of molded polyurethane, with a nocturnal installation and an athletics track made of liquid tartan for the physical education of students, is the generous host of didactic activities and sports competitions that train faculty teams and an impressive number of supporters who encourage their colleagues from the stands.

In the future, an Olympic hall, unique in Galati, will complete the endowment of the Danubius International University, the institution trained not only in mass sports, but also in performance sports.

Championships are regularly organized that train teams made up of university students, high school students and even professional athletes of the Galaţi Phoenix Club. A partnership was concluded with the latter, the club even accepting the name of Danubius, and their effective participation in university competitions already being a fait accompli. The Street Ball Grandtour Championship is an edifying example of this.
