FTL - full-time education involves participation in course and seminar activities.

PTL – part-time education, in which case you only participate in the mandatory application activities, teaching hours being replaced by individual study hours.

DL - distance education is characterized by periodic tutorial meetings. The entire communication between student and teacher is carried out on the Sakai Platform, "Danubius" University being one of the few higher education institutions that exploit this electronic educational platform with maximum efficiency and responsibility.

Bachelor's program in Social Assistance

The Social Assistance degree program aims to develop professional skills in the field of social assistance: specific interventions to reduce social risks at the individual, family, group, community and societal level; elaboration, implementation and evaluation of projects, programs and social policies for different vulnerable categories, etc. During the years of study, students will learn the methods of specialized intervention provided in the family or institutional environment (hospitals, schools, penitentiaries, anti-drug centers, specialized social assistance institutions, etc.).

General disciplines of the study program:

Introduction to Sociology, Basics of social assistance, Communication techniques in social assistance, Introduction to Psychology, Human Development, Professional Deontology, Social Psychology, Social assistance system, Law and legislation in social assistance, Research methodology in social sciences, social policies, theories and intervention methods in Social Assistance.

The professional skills that students can acquire after obtaining the bachelor's degree are:

  • identification, information gathering, documentation, evaluation and recording of information, analysis, evaluation and specific interventions to reduce social risks at the individual, family, group, community and societal level
  • elaboration, implementation and evaluation of social assistance projects, programs and policies for different vulnerable categories
  • consultancy in accessing community resources for people and social groups excluded or at risk of social exclusion (institutions, services, benefits)
  • counseling and other specialized intervention methods provided in the family or institutional environment (hospitals, schools, penitentiaries, anti-drug centers, specialized social assistance institutions, etc.) respecting the values and principles specific to social assistance
  • communication and professional relationship with the beneficiaries and other social actors involved

The transversal skills that students can acquire after obtaining the bachelor's degree are:

  • the objective and argued approach, both theoretically and practically, to some problem situations in order to solve them effectively, respecting the values and principles specific to social assistance;
  • the application of effective transdisciplinary team work techniques on various hierarchical levels at the intra- and inter-organizational level;
  • the objective self-assessment of the need for professional training and the identification of resources and methods of personal and professional development for the purpose of insertion and adaptation to the requirements of the labor market.

The goal is to train high-level professionals who think critically and innovatively and apply psychological knowledge and skills in their personal and professional lives.

History of psychology; Social psychology; Age psychology; Organizational and managerial psychology; Personality psychology; Experimental Psychology and Data Analysis; Genetics of human behavior; Neuropsychology; Psychopathology; Evolutionary Psychology; Forensic psychology; Psychocriminology; The psychology of education; Work psychology; Defectology and speech therapy; Psychodiagnosis of the young child; Atypical developmental profiles.

In the education plans, specialized internships were included in the II and III year of study, which are carried out in specialized psychology offices, public and private commercial companies, institutions from different application areas such as: clinic, health and neuropsychology differential, education, social, organizational and work, psychodiagnosis, psychological counseling and psychotherapy, according to the agreements concluded. These areas of competence will offer students the possibility of a professional career in psychological research, teaching, individual or group counseling and in various environments that address human problems, such as medicine, law, education, economics, sports, legal activity, etc.

The students who will follow the Psychology specialization will be capable of effective employment at the level of the national and international labor market because:

  • they will develop the skills of analysis, evaluation and approach to the individual, analysis of the human group and the situation through the prism of the role of biopsychological and multicultural factors, taking into account developmental, differential, psychosocial, neuropsychological theories and the methodology of the scientific-practical approach to problems ;
  • they will develop their ability to identify, describe and apply ethical professional principles, specialty standards in various fields of practical activity;
  • they will develop their self-appreciation skills and continuous personal and professional self-development through self-training of the appropriate knowledge and skills.

At the end of the studies, the graduates-graduates in social sciences, Psychology specialty can work in various agencies, institutions, organizations, in the realization of the services of: psychological, psychosocial and psychopedagogical assistance in the institutions in the field of health, education and social assistance; counseling, school and professional guidance; human resources management in institutions and organizations; psychological consultancy in governmental, non-governmental or private organizations; psychodiagnosis and psychological assistance/counseling in public institutions, law, sports, transport, education, marketing; communication, psychological assistance, advertising and publicity, research of the psychosocial phenomenon, etc.

  • the faculty has its own specialized laboratories (informatics, multimedia laboratories), with the appropriate equipment for all the subjects that have provided activities of this kind, with a license for all the necessary software and allow the classes related to the subjects in the curriculum to be held in optimal conditions.

The didactic mission of the Informatics study program is to train specialists with the most complete university training, easy to integrate into the labor market, who can efficiently fulfill the specific duties of the functions in the ICT field. For this, the aim is for students to form a coherent vision on the use of IT tools in an interdisciplinary context, to develop an algorithmic / analytical thinking as well as domain-specific skills.
